Infectious drum beats and spectacular dance moves! From the Gazo warrior rhythm of the Volta Region, played using sticks on the drums to Djigbo Waka - an ancient rhythm that people used to play when repairing their fishing nets - Akrowa shows are spellbinding, entrancing and so full of energy it's sometimes tiring just watching.
Education
Akrowa UK has many years of experience working with adults and children of all ages and abilities, teaching traditional drum & dance skills, improvisation and the culture of Ghana. Adie & Thomas also work regularly in ASN/SEN schools, day centres and care homes. They are passionate about sharing their traditions and encouraging everyone to join in.
